Bad setback yesterday. I thought it would be nice to catch train Durham to Birmingham for Villa match and bought cheapest possible advance tickets for an expensive route. However, my bus into town failed to turn up, so I missed the train, lost nearly £50 in unused tickets and missed the match😞

About a week too late for good amounts of snow on a rail trip yesterday to Dalwhinnie in the Highlands. Some patches remained, and caught a dry hour for a brief walk to Loch Ericht on Ben Alder Estate.
