Currently working on a better online identity and trying to finish some projects. I'll come back soon (burnt out on social media & mental is low) <3 P.S. I deleted my old posts, sorry. Lisbon - PT | she/they ๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ | email: hello@aubs.dev

20.12.2024 15:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thx :) I'll have to take a look at them.
12.12.2024 20:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Looks really clean! Glad I can finally stop converting things to a blurry mess ๐ฅณ
28.11.2024 18:20 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Looks really good so far! Are you planning on having ore patches etc. later on?
27.11.2024 20:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks <3
26.11.2024 22:18 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Isn't that just "ctrl+shift+up / down" (or the swap_line_up / swap_line_down commands)?
IIrc there's are also commands to set a marked line and swap the current line with it. Basically, set_mark & swap_with_mark.
It's so useful, I need it in every editor I try :P
๐ looking forward to your progress!
20.11.2024 19:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Pretty cool! When debugging, I have to load assets twice (images, sounds etc.). Once to pre-process & another to load/use at runtime. With shm I could load data once (maybe reload changes as well?) and then use the processed output directly, but that seems kinda sketchy.
19.11.2024 17:48 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I'm juggling around 3 game ideas, all of which work well alongside the engine. As for updating the tools I'm using, that's an ongoing process. I've built the vertical slice of the engine, and as I develop the game, I'll fix any bugs that arise and add features I've missed (nothing major).
18.11.2024 16:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've used many engines and frameworks over the years, and I've always had issues with them. Don't get me wrong, they're great, but it's not the way I think/write software. I'm also not making anything โbig,โ so going custom is a reasonable choice. It's also fun, and owning your code is a big plus.
18.11.2024 16:55 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks, I hope so too <3
I'm a little worried about that, got some ideas though.
Amazing! Thanks for all the work you do <3
18.11.2024 15:54 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Great list! I'm finishing work on a custom C engine. Making a game pretty soon after that :)
17.11.2024 15:32 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Great idea, it's hard finding other C devs!
Thanks for adding me <3
Huge! Love the game, good luck <3
12.11.2024 21:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's really encouraging thanks <3
I'd love to share my tools, but there's still lots to be done. I'm planning on releasing a small game with this, for the end of Q1 next year. After that, if the kinks are ironed out, I'll share the library as well. I want this to be something anyone can use :)
Amazing project, love how light & straight forward everything is!
09.11.2024 05:07 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thank you! <3
05.11.2024 01:30 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's just a little nervous c:
02.11.2024 21:14 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Imo that's not that crazy, but I might be on the wrong side of the fence XD. What are you making the engine with?
01.11.2024 18:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0My start was rocky, third "official" itteration now, but I've got a solid plan. So I'd say 90%. I'm keeping scopes small and aiming for a quick release. Just need to put in my all.
01.11.2024 05:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks a lot :)
29.10.2024 19:48 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thank you! <3
I just wanted some fast moving sparks. I didn't really think it through, but I like your idea!
It really fits the vibe, sounds great!
28.10.2024 20:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Thanks, I'll give it a try, though I'll first have to finish my font renderer. Not as simple as I had initially thought ๐
25.10.2024 15:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0:O Looks great! I mean, I'd like to do that as well, but out of all my โartisticโ skills, fonts were never my strong suit.
25.10.2024 15:36 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Great article, very easy to understand! I'll have to use this when drawing debug text.
25.10.2024 15:32 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Looks good! I like the depth of field effect.
24.10.2024 21:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Good luck with you learning! <3
23.10.2024 02:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sounds good!
Honestly, as you'll have to start with the basics. I'd personally do something fun to keep the interest going. I started with games, moved to web development, then tools and now games again. Your "core" skills will almost definitely transfer over.
Just my 2 cents though.
