I have just been Whammagedoned by a gaggle of Middle School theatre kids and I'm not even mad.

I'm AD on my kid's middle school musical and a youth sports coach and I second this

My kid's drama teacher put on NEWSIES in the same day I paid my Union dues.
The last time I watched it was the day we declared a strike.
I am trying not to cry in a middle school classroom.

Watching Kraken hockey and making Tini's Mac And Cheese and this is not a bad way to spend a Saturday.

I was unprepared for the *feelings* I am getting from seeing all the ponytails & braids coming out of hockey helmets.
The PWHL is everything.

I don't use a recipe (or measure anything) so I like being able to taste the apples as I season them to make sure it's as tasty as possible.
Also this method results in a big bowl of extra apple pie filling that can be served over pancakes or just eaten with a spoon 😀

Andrew was very concerned about what Bean was doing while you're out of town. He will be pleased to know the answer is "glowering at a camera".

Also I accidentally made more apple pie filling than fits in the container I'm using to cool it in (which is already larger than the pie plate's capacity) so I have to just eat this bit warm, with a spoon, straight from the pan.

*Sigh*

I haven't made an apple pie in years but my niece wants one for tomorrow so here I stand.
I had forgotten how incredible the filling smells when it's simmering.

If I ever come into an egregious amount of money, I won't be "bought a yacht for my yacht because I need a place to land my helicopter" rich. I will be "they read my name at the start of a Ken Burns documentary" rich.

Yep. My hair is purple now because it was going white & my real red couldn't be gotten chemically so I decided if I couldn't have MY natural color, I wouldn't have A natural color. 😜

Today I start working with my kid's teacher on the Middle School musical and I am positively *giddy* about it.

TFW you're trying to write but it's cold & hand pain has no concept of "deliverables". Ugh.

Spouse asked Alexa for tomorrow's weather and I replied "a cyclone!" because I am seeing WICKED: FOR GOOD in less than 24 hours 💚🩷

It always takes me a split-second to figure out if the "MTG" people are moaning about in my feed is Magic the Gathering or Marjorie Taylor Greene.
