My last weighted heating pad burst into flames while across my ankles. Probably a wire getting kinked by the weight badly/often enough to foul the coating....
But now I am leery of anything that has adequate weight and also heats up. 🤪

Bought myself a 7lb weighted throw to keep pressure on the heating pads on my hip & ribcage and this thing is an absolute game changer.
Highly recommend.

Fell hard today. Backwards. Going kind of fast. Ribcage first, then shoulder & hip. My whole left side is...a problem.
Fortunately a lifetime of training kicked in & I tucked my chin- didn't hit my head (I was wearing a helmet, but still....) but I'm feeling that in my neck now.
I'll be ok. But OUCH

I understand why they refrigerate a venue in advance of a show, but that doesn't make me less miserable sitting in the cold before I go on.
