The most tragic part of this is that he was so excited to move here. With ironic timing, he got diagnosed with it in November, a month after we finished packing up his house and put it on thr market. He still wanted to come up here, and I did to. It just wasn't supposed to end this soon.

My dad has died.

He just moved to Seattle 3 weeks ago to be close to me, but he had pancreatic cancer. We thought there would be more time to enjoy his new life here even for a few months, but this all deteriorated so quickly and suddenly. He died peacefully in his home looking out at the water.
