All 4 of those are fascinating. I like the inconspicuous natives. Thanks for sharing.

24.08.2025 12:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have been traveling more and starting to get swamped with perennial seedlings. Otherwise doing wellπ. π
17.08.2025 22:06 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Very interesting. π
17.08.2025 13:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is a great looking plant. Thanks for posting. ππ
17.08.2025 13:57 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great information on Pt Reyes. That is a beautiful area. I have had a bit of a love hate relationship with the Grindelia. I have a tall weedy species (camporum) that I would like to pull out but it blooms all year and the bees like it so π€·π»ββοΈ. Yours looks like a well behaved ground cover π. ππ
16.07.2025 00:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do the pollinators like it?
10.07.2025 22:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I started some from seed over a year ago and have 12 inch plants. I have been trying to find a good picture of what they will look like in bloom and this is the best I have seen. Thanks for posting.
10.07.2025 22:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I would love to see that in my back yard. Wonderful. ππ©΅
10.07.2025 15:39 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wow! More beauties. Thank you.
06.07.2025 23:34 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0You saw some wonderful plants in the Eastern Sierras. Thanks for posting. I have about 15 different Phacelia but had to look up the Phacelia hydrophyloides. Love seeing new plants. ππ
06.07.2025 16:48 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have Eriogonum fasciculatum (straight species). They have gotten big. I donβt ever water them. They are such a great plant for pollinators this time of year. Iβll add photos.
03.07.2025 04:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Love that plant and beautiful butterfly. Tried growing the plant years ago. I will try again. I have more mini environments in my yard now so might be able to keep it alive. Thanks for another reminder of a great plant. ππ©΅
02.07.2025 13:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sounds like a wonderful day. The Calochortus is beautiful. ππ

17.06.2025 01:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think they can be annual or biannual. I start my thistle from seed in the greenhouse in the fall then plant them in the ground in November and they bloom the first year. Maybe they are like the biannual artichokes that can be forced to bloom the first year with a short cold treatment.
13.06.2025 23:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you. π

Beautiful native thistle that the native bees fight over.

Oh, thanks. You pay closer attention to yours. I hope you still get a good potato crop.
13.06.2025 02:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why do you need the flowers? Are you saving seed? I havenβt even noticed the flowers on potato plants and I always get potatoes. So Iβm not much help.
13.06.2025 01:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Mine is Agoseris grandiflora also. We probably both got the seed from Seedhunt. Nice plant and I love the big seed heads.
12.06.2025 15:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Do you know which native dandilion? I have Agoseris grandiflora. Yours looks diffferent. Looks like a nice plant. I like the foliage.
12.06.2025 14:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Great capture. Your patience pays off. ππ
12.06.2025 13:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am doing OK except for the horrid state of our nation. I seem to cycle through feeling furious, horrified and sad. I am so grateful that I have the yard and seed starting right now. Iβll join the crowds downtown this Saturday. Hope you and your wife are having a good summer.π
10.06.2025 19:06 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is a beautiful and fascinating plant. Thank you.ππ
10.06.2025 18:07 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thank you so much for the information. The allium is definitely another beauty. π
10.06.2025 14:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That is an amazing plant. I have been watching for a seed offer of that for years. Even put in a serpentine rock garden just in case I ever acquired it. I would love to see it in person. Thanks for posting.
10.06.2025 13:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I grow the second one but under the name Leptosiphon ciliatus. Lovely little plants. Thanks for posting.
09.06.2025 13:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Those are really beautiful. I have never seen them. Thank you.π©΅π©΅
