Green line graph time series of average sea surface temperature anomalies for each January to November period from 1900 through 2024. There is large interannual variability, but an overall long-term increasing trend. Anomalies are computed relative to a 1981-2010 baseline.

Looking at the year-to-date shows the 2024 global mean sea surface temperature anomaly (departure from an average) as the highest on record.

Data for this graph is constructed from NOAA ERSSTv5 and averaged over each January to November period.

Just found out NEON-AOP data in Google Earth Engine. Their airborne #hyperspectral and #lidar data are a goldmine for monitoring vegetation, land cover, and more.
