I wasn’t taught these skills growing up and had to pick them up over time, like many others.

More support for young people could make a real difference to social mobility and confidence with money.

Today is #WorldAIDSDay, and thanks to brilliant scientists, HIV is now treatable and preventable - truly one of the great public health stories of the past few decades.

We all still have a role to play in stopping HIV through raising awareness. Glad to do my bit.

On BBC Politics Live yesterday, I made clear: immigration numbers were far too high under the Conservatives *especially* during the Boriswave.

I’m glad to see figures coming down - alongside our commitment to ending migrant hotels.

Reducing child poverty is in the DNA of the Labour Party.

I was one of the children pulled out of poverty because of the actions taken by the last Labour govt.

It's what we do, and what we've done in the Budget.

Driving test rules to change in bid to stop bots booking slots The Transport Secretary has announced new measures to tackle the continuing backlog of driving tests.

I've received loads of casework on driving test issues, so this news is extremely welcome.

It's also an example of how our govt is working hard to practically fix some of the broken mechanisms we inherited.
