Strengthening community champions for screening: Progress in 2025 In 2025, we partnered with two new group and trained 54 new community champions.

After the success of our pilot project in 2024, we partnered with two new groups and trained 54 new community champions in 2025.

With their outreach and community links, they are helping more people to access and take part in screening.

Community-based HPV vaccination project: Working to eliminate cervical cancer in every community The HSE has started a community-based HPV vaccination pilot project in Cork and Kerry to support Ireland’s efforts to eliminate cervical cancer in every community by 2040.

We're working with HSE National Immunisation Office and local stakeholders in Cork & Kerry on a community-based HPV vaccination pilot project - supporting Ireland’s goal to eliminate cervical cancer in every community by 2040.

The Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll McNeill has today officially launched a new #BowelScreen endoscopy service in Cork University Hospital.

We now have 16 endoscopy units in Ireland delivering colonoscopy procedures to people who take part in BowelScreen.

Improving equity in diabetic eye screening: Partnership project with Pavee Point supports Travellers to protect eyesight We worked in partnership with Pavee Point Traveller and Roma Centre to improve knowledge and awareness about diabetic eye screening among Travellers living with diabetes.

Partnership and storytelling sit at the heart of this project with Pavee Point - working with Traveller Community Health Workers to share trusted, culturally-informed messages about #DiabeticRetinaScreen.
