Herewith my expression of deep respect and admiration for the unknown editor of the Housewives' League of South Africa Cookbook (published 1950), for their sterling comparative work on page 54.
Also, many thanks to Mrs. R. Joubert, for providing another variant of her despair.

Without a book by Martin to guide them, the screenwriters had to apply what they had learnt from his work over 7 seasons. But, they could not replicate his inventive skill.

Rituals encompass a process of constant reinvention hiding behind an illusion of unchanging permanence. The repetition of actions and verbalized statements characteristic of ritual practices reflect a notion of the ritual as both ancient and unchanging, yet combines stasis with adaptive flexibility.

It's tendency to cheerfully endorse whatever the user says makes it particularly unsuitable for anyone with a tenuous relationship with reality. But it's only a matter of time before someone at a medical aid decides that it should be the default option since it's so much cheaper than a psychologist.

Not the Powell that's the Chair of the U.S. Federal Reserve, but another one (Barry), whose eye for hidden detail inspired an investigation that resulted in this series of assemblage sculptures.

No. I found it, but as you point out, it's my visual language, so I could not resist sharing it.

If you know someone with a laser cutter, you could have them cut out the black lettering and then overlay that on a flat sheet covered with the floral print. A figure/scroll saw would also do the job, but it might take a while 😉

Excellent idea in this era of sterile minimalist branding. If you want to go all in with this aesthetic, then the black area could be the type of floral print that shows up on your sculptures.

The sanctimonious used to clutch their pearls at art. Now art is the outraged harridan. Ugh.
