That's what I thought at first but now that I have an Apple Watch when I get a notification I can just tilt my wrist to determine whether or not I need to get my phone out of my pocket. So it actually has been a huge help in not looking at my phone as much.

I once had a Gen Z student send me a pdf by printing a hard copy, taking Live pictures with his phone, then texting me the pictures.
"Young people are good at tech" was true when Gen X and Millennials were young. We're no longer young...

In the 90s my elementary school teachers taught us about the first woman to do this and the first black person to do that. I'm sure plenty of them were republicans. It was back in the day when everyone agreed racism was bad. We've made strides in some ways but slid back in so many more.

I wave the flag of institutions of which I'm proud. Do you think any sane people are proud of the US government right now?

I would just love to see some politicians acting like adults of any gender who want their country to be better instead of enriching themselves.

I literally LOL'ed at this week's, so hard that it would have woken up my husband if he were a normal person instead of a person whose body cooperates with instructions sent from his brain to sleep.

I read something about the franchises being handled in a much less efficient way than is typical and it screwed the operators.
That rosemary bread... dang.

I came here to say that! SO much better than Subway.
They also had terrible commercials. I showed them to some students once and they said "That looks like Quiznos donated lunch to a kindergarten class so the students made a video to thank them."

Shelves containing shadow boxes containing urns labeled with the names of cats along with clay paw prints and photos of the cats.
We moved recently and our new place doesn't have a mantle. We used to keep all our memorabilia from our kitties who crossed the rainbow bridge on the mantle. Finally got this small China cabinet assembled and put all of their urns and cremation art and collars and clay paw prints together.
