Exactly, and 40 was ancient! The weirdest thing is talking to people about something that seems like a minute ago and then you realise that it was in the 80s and they weren’t even born when it happened.

Glad you’ve found out about it now! The book is well worth reading. I’m not much of a cinema-goer though so I’ll have a bit of a wait to see the movie version. Maggie O’Farrell is a great writer so if you haven’t read any of her other books, I can highly recommend them too.

Yes, it’s been very debilitating & when I’m not in agony I’m afraid to do anything to aggravate it! Even walking can be really painful. I planned to do things to the house & garden this year & most of it didn’t happen. NHD is still selling his products but not very active on Insta either.

These last 9 months, not much! I’ve had awful pain in my hip/buttock since last April. It dies down a bit then flares up again. Eventually went to a physio who said it’s greater trochanteric pain syndrome. Lots of rehab to do! NHD isn’t much on X these days but I talk to him regularly on Instagram.

It hadn’t been the same since people got busy homeschooling during lockdown & gradually drifted away. It was great fun while it lasted. I don’t know if I can be bothered starting from scratch again here but it’s nice to have a place to see some of the old familiar faces. Your day sounds exhausting!

True, but for now I just can’t support it. And most of the people I interacted with have either deleted their accounts or they’re not using them very often so it wasn’t as much fun any more.
