An absolutely boffo column from Doctor Who mensch @tobyhadoke.bsky.social about the very silly decision by the BBC to cut off independent and exploratory research at its Written Archives Centre. cstonline.net/defending-th...
31.10.2025 14:24 β π 49 π 38 π¬ 0 π 0Hi Lisa Nandy! Iβm a BAFTA winner from a small town. Instead of asinine questions like this, why not tell us how we can continue to make a living in the eviscerated creative sector over which you notionally preside?

30.10.2025 20:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I mistakenly thought disabled people get a boost in independence from Motability, not to mention (if you're a capitalist) their ability to work from no longer have to rely on inaccessible public transport. But on reflection, maybe it's best for them all just to be branded with an iron.

26.10.2025 17:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm hearing this from a *lot* of people and it's freaking me out!
26.10.2025 17:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do love the jungle, and her, though don't think she gets enough to do in this one. I blame Louis Marks!
26.10.2025 17:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For all its faults, Android Invasion is just *fun*! Gives Season 13 a bit more light and shade, where PoE feels oddly joyless. I suspect it shares a problem with Mandragora that Sarah is not written very interestingly.
26.10.2025 13:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Trying to boil down what sets me off so much, because deep down I know it's not *that* bad! Maybe it's warmth. I need more warmth. I demand more warmth!
26.10.2025 13:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Tbf, it probably suffers hugely just from what's either side of it.
26.10.2025 13:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, the dynamic feels a lot like Vishinsky having to babysit the son of someone high up.
26.10.2025 11:37 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is no escaping Prentis Hancock!
26.10.2025 11:09 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0On paper it should be great. Mandragora also sends me to sleep, so I'm convinced the fault lies with the script.
26.10.2025 11:03 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I want to see a version of The Three Doctors where Omega takes his mask off and the anti-matter's just given him long hair and fewer teeth.
26.10.2025 11:00 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0On reflection, it does also feature Prentis Hancock's best/worst performance, so that's something to look forward to.
26.10.2025 10:47 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The production's great, but the script nearly sent me into a coma. (Doing my bit to lower people's expectations so they enjoy it more than I do!)
26.10.2025 10:44 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do not get on with Hinchcliffe era Louis Marks.
