I'm not hopeful this ends well

I think a lot of this also has to do with the old “Keeping up with the Joneses” mentality.
A couple we know seemed to be doing really well financially — nice cars and clothes, designer purses, etc. Turns out they’re deeply in debt. 😔
(Not to mention the overall materialism of our society.)

My friends Sonny and Cher, the mated pair that I first got to know and who began to accept peanuts from me in 2023. Now they visit regularly and taught their offspring to visit too. Cher only has one foot, she looks like she has a pirate peg leg, but she manages pretty well. 🐦‍⬛🥜
