You're not crazy - @klobuchar.senate.gov has made some questionable (to put it lightly) decisions in the past 100 days, and her constituents would do well to continue to question her motivations. Trust has been eroded, social capital considerably diminished.
05.05.2025 14:41 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0We cannot hand Trump even more power over our judiciary. To block this in the Senate, we need Democrats in both chambers to hold the line. Our lawmakers need to hear from us: text JUDGES to 63033 to tell your reps to vote no!
18.04.2025 18:12 β π 111 π 71 π¬ 5 π 2You may not know about this bill yet, but you should.
The JUDGES Act would hand Trump 22 new judicial appointments, and some Democrats in Congress are feeling pressure to vote yes on it to lighten the caseload of judges in their states. A few Democrats have even co-sponsored it.
Well-attended Town Hall meeting in #Stillwater #MN this evening (with another ~120 "overflow" watching the livestream). Thank you Reps. Hill, Her, Hortman, Gottfried, @mccollum.house.gov, and others for showing up and listening to us.

17.04.2025 22:12 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1HOUSE and SENATE DFL "The SAVE Act, which passed in Congress yesterday, is nothing more than an attempt to grab power by suppressing the freedom to vote. The truth is that non-citizens are already legally barred from voting but that hasn't stopped the Republicans from using it as an excuse to erect additional barriers for eligible voters. This bill will disenfranchise millions of voters who don't have a passport or birth certificate, and it presents significant obstacles for rural communities, young voters, and anyone who doesn't have their current name on their original birth certificate." -INCLUSIVE DEMOCRACY CAUCUS
π¨Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress are working to roll back voting rights.
Read the joint Inclusive Democracy Caucus statement on the passage of the SAVE Act in the U.S. House.

A full house today in Ely with Senator Grant Hauschild and Majority Leader Erin Murphy!
This is Sen. Hauschildβs 5th town hall this year hearing from Minnesotans in the northland about the legislative session and federal budget decisions are impacting their communities.
Theater full of people with legislators on stage.
Earlier this week Duluthians showed up in big numbers for a town hall in with Sen. Jen McEwen, Majority Leader Murphy, and other legislators.
Duluthians are worried about cuts to Medicaid, environmental protections being stripped away, workers rights, and more. They are fired up to fight for MN!
An image of an auditorium full of people in rows. At the right is the stage, with Gov. Tim Walz standing up speaking, and Senators Erin Murphy and Rob Kupec sitting down listening.
Our town hall tour stopped in Moorhead today with Senator Rob Kupec, Majority Leader Erin Murphy, Rep. Keeler, and special guest Governor Tim Walz!
We talked with constituents about supporting veterans, quality schools, defending Medicaid, access to healthcare, and standing up for one other.

05.04.2025 19:41 β π 7 π 5 π¬ 0 π 0Instead of focusing on lowering prices "on Day One," Trump's asinine tariff policy, erratic behavior, and mass firings of public servants have crushed families and produced uncertainty in the markets, as he destroys at lightning speed the economy Biden rebuilt.

#BREAKING: President Trump was sued Thursday over the 20 percent tariffs he imposed on Chinese goods in the weeks leading up to Wednesdayβs broader announcement.
It marks the first known legal challenge against Trumpβs tariffs, which have fulfilled a campaign promise and rattled financial markets.

Elections in Minnesota are already fair and secure. Today, I filed a lawsuit to keep it that way.
We invite all the clowns out there to demand better representation by people with integrity, intelligence, and empathy β which are clearly sorely lacking in Congress today.

02.04.2025 13:18 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0βThis is the largest federal funding cut Minnesota has seen yet, and it will impact Minnesotans from every corner of our state. This administration is attempting to erase every hard-earned lesson from the pandemic and undermine the most effective public health tools we have to prevent disease and improve the health of our communities.β Senator Melissa Wiklund, Chair, Health and Human Services. Image: Background is the White House, with a red overlay.
As a direct result of unprecedented federal cuts, the MN Dept. of Health sent layoff and separation notices to 170 workers whose jobs were funded by $226 in terminated federal grants.
The federal government went back on their commitments and is forcing cuts to important services for Minnesotans.
