I only listen to books with earbuds lol. And maybe it was the narration style, but I STRUGGLED to finish Annihilation. It dragged so bad for like the whole second half

Less lol If I have to be stationary while reading and not be able to dually accomplish something else at the same time, my threshold is very low.

I exclusively listen to audiobooks at the moment and if something is not hooking me in the first 10 minutes, I’m out. Unless it’s a recommendation from a like minded reader that asks me to stick it out. I’ve also DNFed at like 98% once or twice……

I forgot they made it into a movie!!! I’m gonna have to watch it after I’m done with the series

Dissociating by reading some horror/sci-fi this weekend. Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer. It’s actually a reread as I read it last year but didn’t like it as much as I should have and so far the second go is MUCH better! Anyone else reading something they’re loving?
