May every ICE agent never know peace in their soul or mind for the rest of their lives. May what they've done haunt them, and may they never feel the relief of forgiveness.

I recently spoke with chef Yia Vang about his Hmong identity, becoming a U.S. citizen, and his wildly feted new restaurant, Vinai, for Midwest Living. I also found out that we grew up just 20 miles from each other. Central Wisconsin twd.

Anyway, I wrote about driving the French Riviera, the Route des Grandes Alpes, and Provence’s lavender region, plus the book’s feature pages. None of them quite match the majesty of I-70 in western Kansas, but they’re alright, and you can read about them, and more, in Road Trips in Europe, out now.

But turns out they have actual vehicles! Call β€˜em Pyoojos and Minis and you could put about four of β€˜em in the bed of an F-350 (the smallest street-legal vehicle in America).

If you’re American, you might think they don’t have cars in Europe. I did! So when DK Eyewitness asked me to write about road-tripping there, I was like, β€œWait a minute. You mean to tell me that those Continentals got trams with tires now?”

This is just astonishing cowardice and a pathetic misunderstanding of the threat this country actually faces.

Lazio part ways with falconer over 'penis' posts Lazio have parted ways with their falconer, the Serie A club said on Monday, after local media reported that he had shared images of his penile implant on social media.

I guess sharing pics of your penile implant is just too classy for a club like Lazio.

Quote from Minju party leader Park Chan-dae’s speech today, which referenced Han Kang’s Nobel Prize win:

β€œShe asked, β€œCan the past help the present? Can the dead save the living?”

Experiencing the insurrection, I want to say β€œyes.” Because Gwangju 1980 protected us in December 2024.”

Now's also an excellent time, by the way, to read up on your modern Korean history if you haven't done so: Jeon Tae-il, Gwangju, the Candlelight Revolution, and all the rest. South Koreans ripped their democratic rights free from dictators with their bare hands. Good luck taking them away.

If there’s a lesson for aspiring Korean autocrats in all this, it’s don’t do a self-coup at 10:30 pm when everyone’s already six soju bottles deep and ready to mix it up.

Bit late on this but DK Eyewitness’ Road Trips in the USA is out now.
