doing shit 2.4 million times per second makes minor optimisations so huge, it's kind of addictive. big learnings tho are that I should have used cargo-flamegraph sooner (goated) and don't be afraid of simd (thanks rust, thrust)

giga perf gains (can handle ~60 ogg files modulated to am/fm/ssb, injected into 2.4MHz RF spectrum and single ddc/tune/demodulate/audio stream, all on one thread) but nothing practical completed

that being said I think using them for creating artefacts (code, art, literature etc) is kind of defeating the purpose of those disciplines, but in narrow cases for education it's hard to deny its efficacy, especially when your alternative is an increasingly useless google
