Just adding my two cents, most viewers to a channel (YT, TikTok, etc) are new viewers. It’s just how algorithms work i think. The reason why you need to build an audience is that it will drive up your overall views. It sucks majorly, and as a fellow Introvert I feel ya, and I wish I had more advice.
