Qi cannot be used to connect adjectives to nouns. When using adjectives, no verb is needed at all. Simply put the adjective after the noun: e-i epee 'I am happy' Adjectives behave almost the same as verbs. They take the same suffixes and tense indicators (more on those some other time), but they do not have declensions. There's a drawing of Seb, saying: e-i seb qi. 'I am seb.' eqa tü'è chia ta? 'who are you?'
