It's ONLY been 65 years since six year old Ruby Bridges walked through the halls of William Frantz Elementary as the first Black child to attend an all white school. Met with mobs and hate, her bravery and courage helped change the course of history for this nation.

Yes, this is about the podcast host guy who thinks if he and other white men are no longer as harmful, that's enough for complete absolution and reward. Just like simply not being racist is just not enough. You may have come a long way, but you're still far far behind too many other people.

This is why we can no longer accept apologies without reparations. This is something that a lot of white men are going to have to learn that everyone else already knows. It'll be a painful lesson, but one that must be learned.

Ex-wife, fortunately for her. She's been donating her wealth all over the place and the Gates Foundation does inargubly good work, though now I'm guessing that was mostly her all along.

I don't even think they realize that they have another choice. They've lived so long in a world where Republicans tell them what to write that they think the only alternative is for Democrats to tell them instead.

An entire generation of journalists have now grown up and studied the Fox News Era. They never experienced a world without it, a world where headlines were not dictated ultimately by what Republicans wanted to talk about.

Treating political reporters as a referees between Democrats and Republicans, incapable of doing their own research or investigation, is a choice.

Elect a white guy with a nazi tattoo or we won't vote for you. How very different from the other white guys...

Snarkily telling a woman to listen to his podcast where he and another white guy with a past he hasn't done penance for talk about how enlightened they are... not selling us on there being a whole lot of introspection....

...don't immediately run for Senate when you've never even canvassed for someone else and don't immediately start a podcast. There are jokes about white guys starting them constantly for a reason. Yoh gotta stop loving the sound of your own voices and LISTEN to women and minorities.

Maybe if they want to help they can encourage eachother to contribute to women and minority candidates with money or volunteer labor. It's so typical that their first inclination is to step into a leadership or public voice role. Decenter yourselves guys....

He's been problematic for years before he was elected and before his stroke. He had a shady political reputation locally and ya know, chased down a Black jogger to exact vigilante justice on the guy.

I hope for his sake and his family he heals well.
