Also even with 500+ connections, more than half my linkedin feed is controlled by two overactive posters who comment on everything. Legit contender for dumbest social media platform. But i appreciate it as linkedin providing industry-leading reasons to spend less time on linkedin.

I don't mind linkedin tbh. It's kinda useful for a couple things and either worthless or awful for everything else. But i am a big fan of the literary genre of people having had it with linkedin.

Some engines (like Unreal) update the clickable Undo text to show what's going to be undone if you open the Edit list, or whatever menu Undo is listed under. Pretty useful in these situations, or at least better than a complete guess.

Okay i know it isn't a big deal but why do the capers need to go above the other toppings? They clearly belong on the cucumber layer under the tomato slices. Random pet peeve that i just need to get over: The answer to "Am I the only one who ...?" is pretty much always no. But that's fine, it's a badly phrased question that gets asked instead of "Who else ...?"

Also some of y'all enjoy inventing new jargon way too much to go around blaming anyone for misunderstanding. No one's stopping you from making up niche shorthand to amuse your fiends, but some confusion comes with the territory.

"Why are more people misinterpreting what i'm saying as this social network grows?" is the internet equivalent of "Watch out, the steaming soup is hot." It isn't really a thought, more of a systemically solicited response.

It was fun watching some oldschool names competing in top 8 of MvC2. Would've been cool to see Strider or Iron Man shake up the top 3, but in fairness all three of the finalists were too locked in and too scary. Commentary was on point too, just a good time overall.

Have you seen the trailer yet? I'm probably gonna skip it anyway because there's way too much other stuff to watch, but it looks surprisingly on-brand.

Really enjoyed watching Fantastic Four, definitely a different vibe for a superhero movie. I hope they keep going on weirder sci-fi adventures and don't settle into typical action figure battles, because there's still plenty of that elsewhere. Also i would love to watch a sequel following Galactus.

Bonmati's 113th minute goal for Spain vs Germany is a pretty cool play to watch unfold. Goalie maybe should've been more decisive in covering the near post, but the shot was clean & precise. Love how the crowd starts signing immediately too, tho announcer kinda ruins it.

I like watching chess replay analysis videos sometimes, but almost never watch live chess. Randomly watching the freestyle chess grand slam going on right now and it's kinda exciting, but very weird with computer scoring. Commentators know every ideal move so it's all "Will they find it though??"

Looks like they have three must-haves:

1. Grok obviously needs to sell Elon's point of view

2. Grok needs to seem unmoderated

3. Grok's directive prompts need to seem bland enough for the marks to overlook the insane amount of trial and error they're putting into subtle manipulation

This whole thing is really messed up, but also kinda tenuous on their end. For example, i saw they're gonna be moderating its posts now. The grift doesn't work if they do that though. The critical thinking resistant marks mainly trust this propaganda machine if it seems "autonomous" and "unbiased."

D3NE is the most cursed imo. 3UNE surprisingly kinda works.

Ironheart Ep 5 & 6 got a lot more interesting than i was expecting! For a minute it was looking like all loose ends neatly tied up, but this series is surprisingly down to step into the deep end. Looking forward to whatever they have planned next.

I had high hopes for Elon Musk when he was all about electric cars, opposed reckless AI development, and had a reasonable number of nepo kids. I might still think he's a smart guy as a random tech lead. But relative to the amount of unchecked power and influence he has, the guy is a complete moron.

Really seems like a major flaw of social media (and modern news in general) is how disorganized it is. Like there's no way to sticky a prioritized list of problems. So people have to bring up the same stuff over and over just to keep it relevant. Bigger issues drop off when they're less debatable.

People assign way too much agency to rich folks. They're just as trapped by this pay-to-play system as poor people. It just doesn't inconvenience them as much to play along, but most of the time they aren't making free choices either. And yeah, they brought this on, but mostly through incompetence.

Not clicking on clickbait, but i've been around competitive games most of my life. Capitalism does some things well, but from the perspective of someone playing to win, it's a shit game. People get rich or poor for the absolute dumbest reasons. Every bad game has winners who stan it. So yeah, props.

Also loading the app for the first time brought up some qr code popup with no way to close it except restarting the app. Disney, you gotta start paying the interns more.

Show's pretty interesting so far, but Disney+ is all duct tape & bubble gum these days. Button came up to play S2:E3 (which doesn't exist) like two minutes before the episode was over, and again during the credits. Clicked it and went to loading spinny for a solid minute then played Wakanda Forever.
