I guess if we are talking about Maven 3.x, it seems the list of checksum algorithms is hardcoded in the maven-resolver library at github.com/apache/maven...

Me too, but when I checked the code, it was just a few classes delegating ultimately to the resolver.

It’s all columnar data in blob storage anyways. You may as well be the one taking advantage of it.

Also spending more time with VSCode as an alternative, which is definitively lighter but missing a number of features for now. Funnily VSCode Maven/Java support is based on M2clipse project so having common project support issues for both IDEs :)

Mostly use Eclipse for JVM languages, work fine for me (sluggish with large projects though). I tried IntelliJ a couple of time and cannot get used to the layout and shortcuts though.

I'm one of them. What's the issue exactly? 🤔
