A simple way to accommodate ADHDers?
Start requests with a clear note on how urgent they are:
• “For Monday”
• “Open after your holiday”
• “Non-urgent request”
• “Top priority for next week”
This small change helps everyone - not just ADHDers.
Try it and see ☺️

The superpower myth has real consequences. It praises us, while denying us the support we need.

[Content warning: mention of suicide and addiction]
ADHDers are:
- 30% more likely to have ongoing employment issues,
- 5 times more likely to try to kill ourselves,
- 5 to 10 times more likely to experience alcohol addiction,
- at risk of dying younger (possibly by as many as 13 years).

ADHD isn’t a superpower.

Bullshit suggestions for ADHDers:
- get a new notebook
- limit distractions
- just get organised!
- read [productivity book by neurotypical man]
- have you tried time management?
- make a routine
- try harder
- prioritise better
- stop procrastinating
- write a to-do list
- stop overthinking

You can’t assume someone’s orientation from the gender of their partner.
Whether a bisexual person is in a relationship with someone:
• of the same gender
• of another gender
They’re still bisexual.
Not heterosexual. Not a lesbian. Not ”batting for both teams”.
Bisexual.

Write for the frazzled reader.
- Use short words/sentences
- Use clear headings
- One idea per paragraph
- Use lists
- Use bold font to highlight text
- Include plenty of blank space

I help brands turn “we care about inclusivity” into content that proves it.
How? By delivering...

"Express one idea at a time. If you extend a sentence by adding subordinate clauses such as this one, which adds more information on to the first statement, requiring that the reader hold in their working memory both the information with which the sentence began, you put huge strain on your reader’s attention, which can cause feelings of stress and anxiety, and makes it increasingly unlikely that they will remember the information or take action as a result of it."
Accessible copy tip: say one thing at a time.
Moving onto a new idea? Start a new sentence.
Shorter sentences mean:
- less strain on your reader’s brain
- a better chance they’ll remember your message
- a higher chance they’ll act on it!
In other words, shorter sentences = more engaging content.

1. A service level agreement. If they email at 5pm, when will you reply? 48 hours? 1 week?
2. A clear email signature: “I work Mon-Thurs. My hours may differ from yours; please reply at a time that suits you.”
3. An out-of-office auto-reply: “thanks for emailing! I’ll reply within 3 working days.”

Friendly reminder: you don’t have to be available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Emails can wait.
To take the guilt out of replying "late" (read: more than 10 minutes), I use 3 things:

But... plenty of budget holders still won’t see the value in inclusivity and accessibility.
So, you may need to speak in the language they value, like:
- attracting top talent
- sparking innovation
- reaching new markets
- reducing legal risk and expenses
- making a smart, future-proof investment

Inclusion isn't something you do to make more money. It matters because:
- it reflects your mission/values
- it creates stronger workplaces
- we owe each other respect

- Confidently create accessible content
