parts of myself, identifies that are shared, familiar and different across range of experiences and realities deserved to be shared and acknowledged.

it’s largely why a lot of the original projects i work on are ones i wished existed when i was a child, to tell me—we *do* exist.

it’s important to embrace marginalized identities and communities and intersectionality as a whole. and showcasing them in various forms of media is an important distinction of existing. marginalized identities alway existed, even if not popularized by mainstream centuries ago.

from being discouraged at a young age by others and surrounded by media that hosts ‘default’ depictions of what kinds of stories and characters society wants really highlights how marginalized identities were gaslit into believing audiences don’t want to see different realities.

often i wonder how to depict deafness and hearing loss in literature, especially my own stories, as it’s strange to dissect my own identity into written compounds to read about. it’s hard at times when lacking the description but there’s moments of clarity that leaves me in awe.

while finishing these fanfics, i’ve been either compiling notes and reworking one of my wips that is a fairytale retelling death game, a spin off of a long time series i’ve been working on for over two decades now. 2/2
