Omg I just played 5 seconds of the original Bubsy. I recall getting multiple levels deep into that game when I was 10 or so as a blockbuster rental and looking back I have no idea how I did that. game design is so terrible. It's like sonic except every time you press right you are punished.

Thing that was stressful in the bear was sharp knives, flames and grease spatter, and people yelling. Beyond the sheer frantic nature of the kitchen scenes the auditory part of it really magnified it.

definitely seemed to be bait. The only thing I remember from Walmart was those dang demo tvs being on a shelf sticking out from the glass cases up high and having to crane my head to see it. I also don't remember them ever changing the snes/n64 demos from Mario world and Mario 64 respectively.
