Buíoch freisin de mo chara River Cooke BL, as a bheith mar aoi agam.
It was a joy to ask my friend, River Cooke BL, to be in attendance as my guest.
Bhí áthas an domhain orm pictiúr uiscedhath a chruthú, agus é a bhronnadh mar chomhartha ómois ⁊ buíochais don Uachtarán.
I was delighted to present the President with a watercolour painting of mine, as a token of my esteem and gratitude.

It's also possible that the DUP want to remove the UK from the ECHR to reverse the very reason why the Good Friday Agreement requires ECHR participation in the first place - because the European Court of Human Rights had found the UK govt accountable for human rights breaches in Northern Ireland

(@roncoleman ) have, today, filed a federal lawsuit against the UK Office of Communications, a/k/a Ofcom, in DC federal court. Preston Byrne of Byrne & Storm, P.C., counsel for the plaintiffs, said: "American citizens do not surrender our constitutional rights just because Ofcom sends us an e-mail. In the face of these unlawful foreign demands, our clients have bravely chosen to assert their constitutional rights." "The UK Online Safety Act is a brazen attempt by a foreign country to hobble American competitiveness and suffocate American freedom by exporting the UK's censorship laws to our shores." "If foreign countries feel like bullying Americans, that is their prerogative. The First Amendment bar is prepared to hale any foreign censor into federal court at any time to defend any American." Ronald Coleman of the Coleman Law Firm, P.C., counsel for the plaintiffs, said: "With this action, our clients defend the free speech rights of every American." "Foreign interference of the type seen in this case is precisely what the First Amendment is meant to protect against." "We have asked the Court to confirm that Ofcom has no authority to impose or enforce unconstitutional UK laws on American soil."

COMPLAINTTHE UK OFFICE OFCOMMUNICATIONS, a/k/a OFCOM,Defendant.Plaintiffs 4chan Community Support LLC and Lolcow, LLC, through their undersignedcounsel, allege and say as follows for their Complaint against defendant Ofcom:INTRODUCTION1. The Internet is a global system of communication between computer servers, located in data centers around the world. Despite the Internet’s global reach, it is more or lessuniversally acknowledged that the Internet is, predominantly, an American innovation, built byAmerican citizens, residents, and companies, and that the United States has the largest and mostthriving technology sector of any G7 member state.2. Foreign governments, particularly those in Europe, which have not managed tobuild technology sectors of their own have, for the past half-decade or more, sought to control theAmerican Internet, and hobble American competitiveness, through a range of legislative and non-legislative initiatives.3. These foreign governments have threatened American and other non-Europeanentrepreneurs with a wide range of coercive threats, including, fines, arrest, and imprisonment, forengaging in conduct which is perfectly lawful in the territories where their websites are based,1:25-cv-2880
4chan & Kiwi Farms are suing OFCOM. Put your feelings aside on both sites for a second. Trust me, you want OFCOM to lose on this one. If not, it would allow for significant overreach of the OSA into the U.S.

I do wish people would treat transphobia as the serious red flag it is, because if someone is repeating bullshit pseudoscience talking points from right wing cranks, that's just as bad as conceding to anti-vax nonsense and undermining trust in science and medicine, alarm bells should be sounding!

le ciorcal beag cairde dlútha, agus ag cleachtadh mo ghairmeacha trí Gaeilge —
níl a fhios agam an gcreidfinn thú.
10 mbliana ó shin, cuireadh orm thairiscintí chun staidéar a dhéanamh ar an dlí i Sasana a dhiúltú, agus ansin thosaigh mé mar mhac léinn leighis i gColáiste na Tríonóide.
Bhíos i m'aonair i dtír nua, agus is cinnte gur níl aon chumas ar an Ghaeilge atá agam ach an oiread.
Post saying: Keir Starmer Aug 7 I said that if you enter this country on a small boat, you will face detention and return. I meant it. With image of people seemingly being led into a detention site.
Screenshot of X post saying: Keir Starmer Aug 19 ... If you smuggle people into this country, you will face arrest, prosecution and a jail sentence. With image of people being led by enforcement officers.
X post saying: Keir Starmer Aug 26 ... If you come to this country illegally, you will face detention and return. With collage of arguably highly racialised images of who, it would be assumed, are people being detained.
X post saying: Keir Starmer 1h If you're thinking about coming to the UK illegally don't. You will face detention and return. With images of people being detained or removed, questionable based on image
The Prime Minister's X feed currently looks like an advertising platform for Reform's messaging. Distinctly aggressive dog whistles with highly racialised imagery designed to dehumanise and demonise people, and ignores protections guaranteed under international law into the bargain.
