I love this new piece by @fluffydumplin.bsky.social for our indie TTRPG 'Of Hearth & the Harrowing'! Its flow across the page feels very dynamic. The stance of the arcanist leaning back and sideways to the target really gives the character a dynamic feel.

My first recollection of a non-D&D game that blew my mind was either Shadowrun or Vampire. Neither of which would anyone call indie these days.

Indie specifically? That’s tough cause I’ve played lots of games since finding D&D over 40 years ago. But Indie specifically? Was probably Fate. Later Blades in the Dark. I knew of all the OST movement and Apocalypse World but did not play them. Just studied them.

It’s been many, many weeks, but finally got to playtest my indie TTRPG ‘Of Hearth & the Harrowing’ for the first time in a really long time. It was so much fun and also really juiced my love of this game and its potential! Great time with great friends. Can’t wait to get back to editing and layout.

Not an actress... a program. Like the creature she is standing in front. Ironically that creature might once have been made with a motion capture actor. Now it is likely all digital, like this amalgamation. We would not call the creature in a background an actor, we call it a special effect.

Lets call 'Tilly' what it is. A program. Not an actress. Stop using headlines about an AI actress. It is an AI program, or simulation, or simulacrum, or even facsimile. It is not an actress.

You want to know why a designer or company is making something similar to something that is out there? It’s because we aren’t allowed to use anyone else’s IP. We often have an idea that would work in someone else’s space but we can’t actual create in that space because they are all walled gardens.
