Find Your Union - NZCTU Want to know what union you can belong to? Use our Find Your Union tool that covers over 350,000 working people in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The current Government wilfully spreads misinfo about unions despite being well aware unions are the collective voice of workers that rebalance the scales so that people in work are protected from exploitation and harm.

It’s a good time to join one. #nzpol

If an incumbent councillor running in 2025 claims they support Māori wards please check receipts - there was a councillor vote on Māori wards in 2023. 11 voted against, & most are seeking your vote again - Fletcher, Lee, K Turner, Williamson, Baker, Newman, Walker, Watson: all said no.

The Hair-brained Hypocrisy of Stuff Editor, Tracy Watkins . . “Land of the long, leaderless recession” ran the headline of Tracy Watkins’ editorial in the Sunday Star Times on 21 September.

How could such an experienced journalist get it so wrong?

While serving as mayor has been the greatest privilege of my life, I am looking forward to focussing on outcomes for mana whenua. But I’m also looking forward to standing up to bullies and harassers. The shackles are off and I refuse to be silent. Let’s fight back together.

After a multi-year legal battle, I've been granted a restraining order against the notorious white supremacist Phil Arps

Arps fought this every step of the way (with legal aid) and I've been left with a hefty legal bill, I'm fundraising to cover the last part of the cost

Wanna know the common thread in Aotearoa’s ever-worsening cost of living crisis?

LACK OF COMPETITION.
Monopolies, duopolies & cartels.

Supermarkets. Building supplies. Powercos. Fuel companies. Fonterra. Banks.

Pray for a future Gov brave enough to break up or regulate these sectors.

‘A cycleway barrier damaged by Tesla’ - some drivers fume at new barricades Separators are wrecking wheels, smashing undercarriages and creating chaos, say New Plymouth drivers

I love how the people in this article are so openly stating how bad and distracted/oblivious they are at driving.

If you're hitting these things, the fault ain't those things. And the solution isn't to remove them so you can now hit something softer, like a cyclist.

It’s not just that unemployment is up 28% since the govt took office it’s that they engineered it! If you have the faintest clue about how the economy works you know that cutting public spending impacts the private sector immediately. The govt is the private sector’s BIGGEST customer.

The InternetNZ AGM falls on Thursday. It's a very consequential one. To secure institution's ability to serve all New Zealanders, members must vote down proposed changes to InternetNZ's constitution by the Free Speech Union (FSU) - published on their website. If passed, InternetNZ won't be the same.

Cabinet Ministers defend hiking board fees for Crown bodies A document, quietly uploaded online, shows ministers agreed to lift the maximum annual fee for chairs of governance boards from $90,000 to about $162,000.

So minimum wage isn't keeping up with inflation, and yet crown body chairs get an 80% wage increase?!?! 🤬 #nzpol

Business ministry 'breaches contracts' in work-from-home crackdown Mediation between MBIE and the PSA has failed and the union is now considering legal action over a more restrictive work-from-home policy.

The PSA says MBIE's new work-from-home policy is a breach of the collective agreement, under which the ministry has committed to a flexible-by-default approach.
