My cat really just meowed at me until I started playing games. Then she curled up next to me and fell asleep almost instantly. I think she wanted chill quiet time together

There’s a chapter in Tara Brach’s book Radical Acceptance where she talks about working with a patient who had previously meditated and then started having trouble with her meditation practice. I’m not sure which chapter since I checked the book out from the library, but maybe worth checking out.

I had dinner at Raising Cane’s for the first time and it was fine. I have no complaints, and I also probably won’t think of it whenever I’m wanting fast food

Rescued a baby lizard out of my bathroom sink today so I think that means I don’t have to do anymore Sunday chores

Beginning the day with sounds of nature and calm.

I like to put non-alcoholic drinks, especially iced tea, in stemless wine glasses so that I can feel fancy

Went for a walk at work today and it was so humid. I needed the movement to get out of my head just a little, and it helped me appreciate that my office is inexplicably the coldest one, when normally I just complain about how cold it is.

We’ve been watching love island in the conference room at work in our “downtime” and now I’m thinking about writing a love island inspired “romantasy”.

I went to a pole class for the first time in almost a year and I am so out of shape. I’m sure I’ll be sore tomorrow

I grew this watermelon mostly by letting it grow wherever it pleased.

I meant to bring my sunflowers to work today but I forgot. I need to remember to bring them to work tomorrow so I can enjoy them on my in-office days.

Every once in a while I will get a call from either Sweetwater or Guitar Center to see if I’m enjoying my gear, if I have questions about it, and to reach out to them if I do. Unfortunately for them, all the gear I bought was for my husband—I’m not a musician. But he seems happy with his gear!
