It says: Teaser Poster - Avatar Fire and Ash (2025) 2013 - As the teaser poster and trailer of Avatar Fire and Ash have rolled out, I can tease a little concept information of Varang and the Ash Navi. In September 2013 as Lead Character Designer, I was tasked with starting the design of the ash navi characters after the Metkayina had been thoroughly in development. Generic Ash female, generic Ash male, etc. with heavy development of Varang beginning in March of 2014 and even into 2017. 2017- Meeting with James Cameron and Jon Landau about creating concepts of Varang with screengrabs from auditions of three well known actresses, one of them being Oona Chaplin. I had been creating initial concepts of Varang using various female faces from my selected references. I had already established the feathered headpiece, tight bound breast ropes and a loincloth. In the middle of 2017 Legacy Effects began their ZBrush and digital scan design process as Varang began to take shape. The character design process for the Avatar Sequels will always be a collaboration and team effort starting with James Cameron's ideas, notes and drive for excellence.
