Starting today, all 100 TPL branches will be open between 12-5 on Sundays. This introduces Sunday service to 33 branches and expands it in many more.
This service expansion was estimated to be done by September this year but was originally part of the TPLs Open Hours Vision, set way back in 2006!

Horizontal line graph of TTC track replacement bids awarded since 2024. Only three were found, with Midome Construction winning two (1.5M, 2.7M) and Sanscon Construction winning the other ($3.3M). Only the 1.5M bid contained solely track replacement in the contract work requirements.
Was looking at the Open Data for track replacement procurement bids, the database only goes back to the start of 2024 and I found the following 3… missing is the actual bid that sparked my interest.

Dufferin street south of King with 6 Geismar Hydraulic Track Alignment machines used by Midome Construction Services Ltd., lined up in the middle of the street and surrounded by pylons
First round of track alignments seemingly done at King and Dufferin. Midome is running this $2 million dollar contract, equivalent to about $31,000/day. It seems they are often the lowest bidder for track replacements, also securing the $1.5 million and $2.7 million contracts started this year
