I think it might be prudent not to support review sites as a designer because as benign as it might look to you to give money as patronage, from the outside it could be misconstrued as a kickback if ever they decide to review a game of yours.

Nippon Zaibatsu was the highlight for f the week. Amazing production and an even better game. For sure a lock in for game of the Year (so far).

Drawing from my experience sometimes people want to get away from social media/virtual world and want to try something more deliberate and have more face-to-face interaction that doesn't involve a screen. Modern board games give me that and thus it's worth the mental and social investment.

The problem with these sort of industry types is even with the amount of backlash they're getting, they don't learn a thing. They will just do the wrong thing without announcing it next time and hope nobody notices.

The amount of industry people coming out of the woodwork to manufacture consent on using AI as an acceptable business practice is downright infuriating.

If you use AI willingly that's a definite no-buy on my part and sadly it's already happened this year on a game I really wanted to check out.

This game desperately needed an insert. I ended up with a 3d printed version, but the Folded Space looks great. Would have to argue the box probably would explode if they announce an expansion for it.

Awesome. Gonna drink some coffee and take a power nap before game night later on. They have this on the docket and I have an inkling I will have rules amnesia five minutes into this one if I'm not fresh.
