I've often wondered what a good way would be to manage the spikes. The thought of local erasures in FFT space occurred to me, as this works well for other predictable patterning on textured photo scans for example, but I can't say I've ever tried it, expecting poor results.

We have a lot of large offshore wind farms around the UK. They're popular, and provide a very large proportion of the UK's energy needs at low cost. We need more.
