One really bad technical feature of Bluesky is that you need to select whether you want autoplay on or off for both videos and gifs together.

Videos use up so much more data than short gifs, so we should be able to select them separately.

It's unbelievable how bad Amazon search is now. Just searched for a very specific item using the make and model in my search terms.

Between the sponsored deals, featured deals, and Customers Frequently Viewed, there were probably 50 incompatible items to wade through.

I absolutely hate how everything online is a video now.

I needed to google how to reprogram my garage door keypad, and it was almost impossible to find a website with the three simple written-out steps that would take 10 seconds to read.

Instead it was all 3-minute videos with pointless intros.

I love how this philosophy works everywhere.

There are no iOS updates downloaded, and near as I can tell, no older system backups saved.

Honestly this is almost my story too. Not the learning at 50, but the diving headlong into it at 40.

I agree, but if there wasn't even the motivation to keep rails on PEI (a much shorter ferry ride at the time), or even anywhere in Nova Scotia west of Halifax, or on Cape Breton past Port Hawkesbury, I don't think there was any hope for the "Newfie Bullet".

It's amazing how much peanut butter a family can go through, especially given that kids can't take peanut butter sandwiches to school for lunch anymore, like I did basically every single day of my childhood.

I am legitimately worried about the lack of privacy in the modern world, and how every device and app tracks everything we do and monetizes the data for commercial gain.

What I am definitely not worried about is the Chinese government spying on people using baby monitors.
