I am becoming increasingly anxious about:

1) The Government’s lack of meaningful response to this, and indeed the pandering to it.

2) The way it’s being covered by broadcasters.

The threat to our society is not from asylum seekers in small boats. It’s from politicians and media cynically whipping up fear and prejudice, labelling them all as criminals, inciting hatred against people for where and what they’ve fled from.
It must stop. For all our sakes. It’s deeply sinister.

I do feel great pity for the children, grandchildren, and future generations who will have to carry the shame and the burden that will be the legacy of the Trump Administration.
