Addendum: Before you mention the ecological fallacy, please read the paper. The unit of analysis is country. Country level exposure and outcome, no cross-level inference. Population data is useful for population level inference.
15.08.2025 18:40 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1Does this mean we might be able to lower dementia rates by changing the fat provided in our food systems. Possibly. As always, potential confounding and caveats need to be explored. We should try to get some research going. We have more to learn, but maybe policy trials will be in our future.
15.08.2025 18:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0But what about the population level? Do countries with higher mean Omega6 PUFA intake have higher age-standardized rates of dementia? Yes. www.nature.com/articles/s43...

For too long, our government stopped vigorously enforcing laws that keep Corporate America in check.
Corporations got more powerful while our basic economic freedoms went unprotected.

This matters because it frames our discussion: We arenโt trying to prevent it, weโre trying to defeat it. Itโs not taking over our institutions, itโs taken them over.
Otherwise, weโre always behind, fighting a past weโve already lost.
Remember:
