The patient is still moving, crying and screaming everyone’s head off.

There are other patients still waiting.

The staff is getting tired already… and they still have to clean up and prepare the room after the patient is dismissed.

Sometimes it takes 4 adults to do this

All to address a pre-cooperative child’s cavities

Meanwhile the dentist is doing fine detailed work on a cramped dark space that is rapidly filling under water

They hate the shots, the squirting water, the suction straw, the vibration from the drill, the fingers in their mouth, cheek, lip, the metal instruments, the foreign sensation of numbness.
