A fully loaded Cherry blossom tree fills most of the frame. It is the one outside my friend's place in Hale St, and part of his front fence can be seen in the bottom right of the frame. A little of the cloudy sky (and some branches from a tree across the intersection) can be seen in the background. Part of the cherry blossom tree's trunk is visible at the bottom, but its branches are awash with small, pink flowers.

Photo taken in Seymour Square showing one of the flowerbeds awash with colour. The grass between me and the flowerbed is in shadow from the trees framing the shot. In the background beyond is a fence and two vehicles parked in opposite directions on either side of Seymour Street. Part of the local Council building can be seen in the distance.

Deep pink (almost maroon in shade) magnolia blossoms from the tree at my front gate. Out of focus, in the background, is the concrete block fence that separates 91B's driveway from number 93. The house at 93 can be seen behind the fence. Foliage from other shrubs in my driveway can also be seen in the photo.

The same cherry blossom tree in Hale Street, but pink blossoms are blooming further down the trunk. In the background (out of focus), is a white ute (pronounced "yoot")/pickup truck and a pink brick flat (or townhouse).

Taken in Seymour Square. On the right of the photo stands the War Memorial Clock Tower (complete with belfry containing a bell that rings on the quarter hour). In the background is a round two-storey building that houses the debating chamber (among other things) of the Marlborough District Council. A few tree branches can be seen to the left of the Council building.

Test roll (bulk-loaded FP4+) through the UFK-2. Had to assemble the sucker before I could use it. Had to stick the shutter assembly back together, as the original glue had lost its stick. The results show (how crappy it is). All out of focus. Part 2.

This cherry blossom tree grows in front of my friend's place on the berm between the footpath and the road. It flowers like this pretty much every spring.

Mine's a non-worker. Have a whole visual diary so far documenting its "travelling gnome"-type travels around the district so far. It still has quite the bucket list of places to visit (and now it has picked up friends).

Sho' is, boss! Have a pack of ½-frames, fancied a Samurai, friend has one; not likely to inherit anytime soon, and this sucker dragged the Kiev 19 behind it! When opportunity knocks, don't complain about the noise!

Fair enough, and each to their own. I like mine to earn their keep, but as long as they aren't taking up space in the tip, it matters not how you see it. I didn't particularly want the Kodak Brownie, but it looked too good to throw out. And I can dremmel down a 120 spool to load the thing.

Don't you just hate it when gear overheats and freezes? Although not flash units, I've had gear "lock up" on me, and it annoys my (autistic) butt no end. Hopefully I'll not be working the crap out of the SB900 to warrant it getting its knickers in a knot.

...Olympus 35*DC*, actually. Seems to work now I have a Weincell battery for it. Have heard Mirandas and Kiev SLRS getting knocked a bit, but we'll see how they go. Nikon F-401s intrigue me (ditto the Kiev 19 & Miranda)

Yeah, that 200mm Nikkor lens is in pretty good nick. Looks pretty clean and works well. Fortunately, I've got enough F-mount bodies to keep it happy. The flash *IS* an SB900 (got it for the DSLRS), and my local photolab owner reckons they're nigh impossible to get...
