That describes the very essence of "accountability." We all live with it, except the police. It's why policing has gotten so brutal in big cities. They aren't even "accountable" to their neighbors, whom they don't know. Take away immunity, and make THEM pay when they do wrong. Sounds so reasonable.

From the bits I've seen, Mr. Ellison did well. Very well. His "yes, they were exercising their First Amendment rights" answers (more than one) were respectful and patient and, while I didn't see the whole thing, kept the "Duh!l eye rolling to the bare minimum.
