I'm reading a book right now called How to Raise an Adult that has all kinds of astounding examples of this kind of babying. Did you know there are people who bring their parents to a job interview??

New state, local cyber grant rules prohibit spending on MS-ISAC | StateScoop In its final year, the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program bars states from spending their funding on services provided by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center.

ICYMI: The MS-ISAC is switching to a subscription model after losing some of its funding (and possibly losing all of it starting October). But states won't be using State and Local Cyber Grant funds to pay for membership: statescoop.com/state-local-...

This is a great policy for a country that wants to ensure no one ever comes here to study, start a business or have a vacation.

Louisiana's governor announces new IT vendor on his diner-themed podcast | StateScoop Louisiana has selected Champ Titles as its vendor to upgrade the state's failing vehicle registration and driver's licensing system.

You know the country isn't in a great place when it makes sense to equate avoiding important questions with being politically savvy. Moral cowardice is an asset under the Trump administration because the alternative is being cast out. Good story from @timstarks.bsky.social:

States and local govts have been struggling for years to fund adequate cyber defenses. The idea that they'll be able to do it now with even less federal support doesn't add up, which @ericjgeller.com's piece points out several times:
