LLMs are bullshit text generators. The only time I've found a use for them is when I was asked to generate some bullshit text. The better solution is not to ask for bullshit text.

I dunno. Lawrence of Arabia is basically the same length as Once Upon a Time and I've lost track of how many times I've watched it. And unlike, say, the LotR extended editions, I've never popped the first disc in and then just not bothered to watch the second half.

Watching the old Derek Jacobi Cadfaels and the new priest in The Raven in the Foregate is just comically over the top evil. Disappointing lack of depth for an otherwise usually good show.

Yep, this is very similar to the one use case I've found for it.

I do frequently have moments of "I'd really love to be able to ask my dad/grandmother/etc about X," but it's always in connection with something I don't already know about them and wish I'd learned while they were alive. If I don't know, the AI isn't going to know either.
