Planners I designed two years ago.

One for adults, with 5 duplicated sections.

One for kids, to teach scout Autonomy, Authenticity, Acceptance! A way for them to tell adults for themselves what they find difficult and what they don’t!

Giving them the power of words without sound!

"Separation anxiety is the result of emotionally based school avoidance and anxiety!"
Not the other way around!

"Separation anxiety is the result of emotionally based school avoidance and anxiety!" Not the other way around!

Separation anxiety is VERY real, and it is NOT your fault.

It’s truth time πŸ‘ŠπŸΌ

β†’β€œYou just need to bring her in kicking and screaming”

β†’β€œBring her in Pyjamas if you have to and a bag of school clothes”

It took me a long time to realise this wasn’t my fault!

Anyone else heard those statements!

This kind agency and autonomy are often what our children are seeking, but seldom given due to the constraints of an uneducated society of bestowed parental beliefs that are actually more harmful.

Having limits, or taking it away altogether will just cause distress and initiate a burnout that is harder to recover from. I know I will feel better soon because I am an adult and I am in control of my decisions.

Recovery is important and listening and adapting to your spoon replenishing obsessions is Iimportant.

It helps to avoid burnout!

So when screens are being used in way that seems a little obsessive, this may be what your child is subconsciously trying to navigate. Reducing that screen time,

….recover from exhaustion and distract myself from anxiety inducing situations that are out of my control. It does get better. The fog will lift, I will become more present and less distracted with my own whirring thoughts, but I have learnt to follow the flow of this period in order to recover.

There are events that lead to this kind of withdrawal from β€œlife” and overwhelming amount of events that contribute to anxiety, exhaustion and eventually shutdown.

It’s a period in life that needs to happen in order to focus again…

And I watch it u till the end and then when that period is over I scold myself again for being more into watching a programme than I am in the β€œreal world” screen fatigue is real. But the cycle of noise in my head is much worse, so the binge is its medicine.

but you have no energy to rectify that oversight.

And the noise continues.

To get out of my head, I binge Netflix series. I literally become so obsessed with a programme that it is all I can think about.

Even with my kids. My attention wanes and when eventually the leave the room and stop talking and the noise on my head subsides it becomes a much worse silence. The guilt silence. The, β€œyou didn’t pay attention to your kids when they were trying to connect silence”

Sometimes my brain is full of conversations.

So many sometimes that I can barely concentrate on what’s going on around me.

I find myself zoning out of a lot of conversations as the noise is just often too much to handle.
