The positions simply do not exist, and the ones that do close very fast because they get 1000+ apps in a matter of days.

The competition is unspeakably stiff right now for narrative jobs, specifically.

I've mentored several people in the last couple years who already had FT non-narrative studio positions and hoped to transition horizontally - no luck, even with personal recommendations when they're already devs!
