My mom used to use that phrase and I havenโ€™t heard anyone else use it in years. She grew up on a farm. Anyhow, it is appropriate to describe the Congress.

This Catholic did not love it. I found it insulting and insensitive.

Fact: They didnโ€™t fear what breaking the Dept of Education would do to their kids. Their kids are in fancy private schools.

They are dismantling the Dept of Ed so our kids have no choice but to be undereducated and work for their kids.

In honor of #MarchMadness, let's talk about how all 8 men's teams playing in Providence this week are threatened by the Musk/Trump Admin.

If you love college sports, you're going to have to stand up for colleges!!!!

Iโ€™m really hoping hell hath no fury like old people scorned, if they do cut social Security.

Missouri has been running the pilot for Project 2025 for a couple of decades.

With a GOP Supermajority, over 30% of our schools are on a four-day week. We fund vouchers for private religious schools. Our starting teachers are 50th in the nation for pay and they pay for their own supplies.

Kansas senator's rural town hall meeting swamped by people mad at Trump administration Republican Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall ended a rural town hall meeting early after people angry about budget cuts, funding freezes and other actions by President Trump shouted the senator down.

Trump has canceled Biden's ethics rules. Critics call it the opposite of 'drain the swamp' Donald Trump took office eight years ago pledging to โ€œdrain the swampโ€ of the dominance of Washington influence peddlers.

Dear Dems. This is a reminder that Donald Trump rescinded the ethics rules preventing gifts to executive branch employees.

Now would be a good time to propose legislation formalizing the prevention into a law

Time to do things that make him react to you.

I hope my congressman is a good person but when asked in conservative Colby Kansas if there was anything Trump would do that he would not support, he could not think of one thing far although he professed that there was. The Burke quote about silent good people in action.

The DOL Office of the Inspector General (โ€œDOL OIGโ€) does critical work related to
unemployment insurance fraud. To take just one example, during the pandemic, federal
and state governments distributed over $888 billion in unemployment benefits to support
Americans in crisis. However, my office uncovered that an estimated $191 billion in
pandemic unemployment benefits may have been improperly paidโ€”with a substantial
portion of that money attributable to fraud.

5. A week before my purported termination at DOL IG, the Wall Street Journal ran an article
commending my team and me on the great work we were combatting unemployment
insurance fraud. It also mentioned the need to extend the statute of limitations. The article
highlighted a U.S. Government Accountability Office report, estimating that $135 billion
in funds had been stolen from the unemployment insurance program in a two-year span.

Fired Department of Labor IG Larry Turner found $191B in improper COVID unemployment payments, much of it fraud, and was hunting down $135B more when he was fired.
