It Dominated the Oscar Nominations. It’s One of the Worst Movies of the Year. Emilia Pérez is not a good movie.

When I first heard the movie’s trans-gimmick premise I thought “Sounds way more likely to be cringe than powerful,” and every review I’ve read backs that up. I will not watch it, and if it wins more awards that will just cement my belief that awards don’t mean anything.

Support places that have trans people working front of house, and make sure owners know that's part of why you're there.
