I hate both parties for different reasons, yes. The Republicans are openly fascist and seek to turn America into a single party theocracy. The Dems are crypto fascists that consistently fail to function as an opposition party and regularly carry water for the GOP with gun control bullshit.

This reminds me of a time over a decade ago where I got absolutely blasted off of edibles while in Amsterdam and went on an extended rant while couchlocked about how illegal space aliens are going to steal all the tech jobs and we won't have the technology to deport them.

Instead we now have games like Apex where have the guns are just some AR variant that takes Glock mags and has a bunch of extra greebles on it.

I miss the days where fps games would regularly try to just find random obscure prototype guns that looked cool to model.

I think that part of the problem is that whoever wrote that romance either wasn't gay or let his daddy issues leak into his writing a bit too much. Now that I think of it, Mass Effect had the same problem of the gay romance options being kinda ass.

The male romance options in the game just suck in general. Kerry Eurodyne is worse than River imo. Literal senior citizen that's only interested in you because he wanted to fuck the dead guy in your head like 57 years ago.

Dealing with College Board is a truly miserable experience. They insist on doing all support over the phone, and the average representative you can speak with has a GCS of 2. They keep asking me to fill out customer satisfaction surveys every time they don't solve my problem. Incredible stuff.

The kicker is I don't think that 4e is mechanically bad. The vibes are just wrong for DnD. It works great for Lancer.

This sounds like something intended for virtual production and not use in games. That sounds ridiculously heavy.

I posted earlier about my new therapist ghosting me for our first session and then deleted it when I realized it was two hours later than I thought. Anyways he still ghosted me. I'm currently drinking alone at the computer while actually staring at a black screen and doing nothing.

3.5 version absolutely had a lot more on advice for running non-combat stuff. I was around when 4e first released, and this shifting of priorities was absolutely a real complaint.

The 4e DM guide very heavily encourages emphasizing combat encounters. It straight up says "combat encounters are what the players want, focus on that." I know they released a revised version of that book later, but I honestly never bothered to engage with it further because I went over to pf.

That is particularly rough because 3.0/3.5 had more content available for it than any other version of DnD before or since (to the best of my knowledge at least). This is part of what made PF so attractive. You can still easily use all of your 3.5 stuff with it.

3.5 was the main thing 4e was and is compared to. While 3/3.5 was very different from 2e, it was also still possible to bring over 2e material without too much work. 4e was so different that it basically rendered all of your older source books irrelevant.

I strongly disagree with that. OG D&D didn't even really have rules for combat. It referred to a different tabletop wargame called Chainmail for that. In the 3.5 DM guide there's a lot about running sessions where there isn't much if any combat at all. Some of my favorite sessions involved no combat

4e seemingly expecting players to approach encounters in a much simpler and more direct way (2/2).
