This! My neighbor said this! In NYC after a couple tickets you got booted and then towed. I referenced that and NDOT’s response was the pilot time is now over. Not to mention the three airbnbs on our small block. There is also a monthly team that cleans the street. What is this really about?!

This was 2wks ago! An abandoned car was towed. I appreciate NDOT tried to contact the owner for weeks, I get that; however in a month this could be my car or my neighbors’ car if we forget to move our car by 8am! Some have low income & we have no driveways. Towing is excessive! Why Napier area?!

I WILL always elevate my neighbors voices when laws are unjust & I will use my privilege to pursue change. I am so TIRED of change happening w/o truly seeking what the community wants. Recently…rezoning of schools, towing when one forgets its street sweeping day (no signage), broken promises & more!

…some elected off. are sadly the obstacle too. Most do a lot of good & then theres a defining MOMENT or two where elected officials have power to make change to laws/initiatives; ex: st. sweeping towing will disproportionately affect neighbors (esp. public housing).Posting for awareness & a reminder

For those wondering, folks must recertify each yr w/MDHA & when they do not their rent goes to market rate. The covid rent pause affected this mom’s situation. She was dealing w/postpartum, abuse and did not recertify. My friends know the 11 yr twins tare amazing thespians ❤️

to offer MDHA half but they said it needed to all be paid but was hopeful Metro Action could help. Who has pull at Metro Action? I know funding has been cut but we have been waiting to hear back. School starts soon. The sets of twins are separated. I have cared for the 11 yr twins. 🙏🏾 any help 3/3

Thanks for showing this. With your gps map you have to add 15-20 min walk to Hermitage avenue from Charles E Davis or University court (public housing streets). The elem. school is even a distance a way for some.

Public middle school in the South Bronx. Our students applied to go there and some took a bus or train that took them 45min and that’s a lot in NYC. If students make a choice to attend MHS they know they have to make it their own time we just have to help them get there. 2/2

So true! I get there is a bus driver shortage but even if they had a special smaller WeGo bus in the neighborhood that could pick them up and drop them off that would help. I think attendance would increase. When students CHOOSE a school their interest peaks. I taught at the top performing 1/

Oh yes! And I am not opposed to the new track. I am a proud honors grad of Glencliff HS. Its the timing-*SOME* families found out in Sept. 24’-so after this school yr began so I think there should DEFINITELY be a grandfather clause. I get its hard to add a school bus due to shortage but they need it
