On Friday, the administration reversed course on an order that aimed to place the head of the Drug Enforcement Administration as an "emergency police commissioner" after the district's top lawyer sued.

Even — wayyyyyy down — when the AP finally notes Friday's litigation, they sand the edges for the Trump administration, failing to mention that the administration "reversed course" BECAUSE IT WAS AN ILLEGAL "AIM" AND A JUDGE WAS READY TO ISSUE AN ORDER BLOCKING THEM IF THEY DIDN'T REVERSE COURSE.

I don't understand how this credulous presentation works, journalistically.
