It's not that he's good. There are plenty of good players. It's that he's, like, one of the best in the world at his position? And would be, behind Haaland, probably the best ST in England?

17.02.2026 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"Anxiety disorder masquerading as political analysis" unfortunately describes a significant portion of discourse on this website (and other websites too!)
17.02.2026 18:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0For this draft, what's a realistic outcome for teams drafting in the 15-25 range (I am a Lions fan tell me there is hope please)
22.01.2026 16:24 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am an Arsenal fan. I love what they do. I love when they score.
I simply do not understand how they keep getting away with it. They're not cheating. They're doing it in the open. How is it possible that A) nobody can defend it and B) nobody can replicate it? Literally how is that possible?
I really feel like all the "clown on bad AI" jokes are pretty weak. There are many, many real concerns about AI and some of them are funny too! But if your main argument is "the tech is bad" well then what are you gonna do when the tech gets better?
17.12.2025 17:45 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It is, currently, the central flaw with progressive online discourse: a deep and immutable belief that all "normal" people actually agree with my political positions (how convenient), the only viable strategy is to help them realize that they are already on my side and should vote as such
27.08.2025 15:37 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you think you're seeing now what Holmes saw that made him trade up for TeSlaa in the draft? What did other people miss that made the pick so highly criticized?
21.08.2025 18:37 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I just don't understand the argument against. He has an MVP and he's going to finish with AT LEAST 450+ HR. Has any non-steroids era player EVER had that on their resume and not made the HOF?
13.08.2025 20:16 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0I think it would be weird for sure, but lots of things I'd find weird in my relationship other people don't seem to mind. We don't need to police AI use on small issues as if it's objectively morally repugnant.
That being said, totally agree - I use AI plenty but would never pay for it.
Also I get that this post is itself "in a jokey tone" but like, it's really just not evil to ask AI to write texts or emails for you. It's lazy, sure, and obviously it removes an element of human connection, but c'mon. We're not talking about crimes against humanity here.
06.08.2025 13:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Congrats! Also, really enjoyed this piece. It's so interesting to see how these tools that we all know are theoretically important are actually being utilized, especially by parties who might otherwise be disadvantaged by them.
04.08.2025 17:04 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I do think that you can acknowledge that leagues have failed to market gambling in a safe and healthy way without the next step necessarily being "and therefore the only solution is making gambling illegal again"
28.07.2025 18:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think there's something to say for the fact that Mahomes has 5 SB appearances compared to 1 for the other three guys combined. Other than that, nobody else compares to those four.
14.07.2025 17:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I certainly have my Madueke concerns as an Arsenal fan, but at very least I see the concept, and I don't really worry that much about giving Chelsea more money to waste on more young attackers who will never get playing time.
I literally have no idea how any Spurs fan could be happy about MGW.
It's like you always say - the reason that my team lost was because they didn't do the thing that I wanted them to do, and all the things that they did do which I liked had nothing to do with why they lost whatsoever
03.07.2025 17:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The new PTFO is a big one.
The full 61-page document we exclusively obtained has layers upon layers upon layers. It's a truly fascinating journey behind the NFL and NFLPAβs locked doors.
And it's right here, for anyone who wants to see and/or support our journalism: www.pablo.show/p/the-holy-g...
I'd go so far as to say he appears ever-so-slightly perturbed
08.06.2025 18:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Obviously Lamine is incredible, but do you think he genuinely deserves this award based on his production this season? It feels like a little bit of a stretch to me (he might win every year for the next decade, but still)
05.06.2025 20:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I genuinely don't get it. Paige is white too! Just focus on her if you care so much about that!

29.05.2025 13:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Honestly this seems kind of... good? Making AI pay for content, finding high quality journalism in return?
I'd like to see it trickle down to local news too but isn't this a first step in the right direction?
Not so sure how salary stuff works in soccer, but wouldn't it be worth it for Leverkusen to just pay him more than whatever Bayern would offer to keep him? Is there a number that could convince him to stay?
14.05.2025 17:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Isn't there something to be said though for the fact that people saw those disgusting "Kamala is for they/them" ads and WEREN'T turned off or offended?
Even if it didn't change their minds for Trump, it didn't do the opposite either.
Nobody loves America more than Infantino!
08.05.2025 18:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I went to a comedy show in Baltimore in 2021 where Dore was performing. I'd never heard of him before, but the crowd was so... particular that I felt I needed to take off both my mask and my Kippah in order to stay safe.
Truly one of the most uncomfortable (and unfunny!) experiences I've had.
Is this what watching Messi felt like in 2006
30.04.2025 19:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That is the thing about this all which I think people aren't sufficiently covering: yes, it was stupid, but it's also just cruel. It's not funny. It's not even a good joke, it's just being a jerk for the sake of it.
It's not even funny!
As a Yankees fan who is beginning to lose faith in him, that 123 OPS+ is really surprising to me. How much is that being propped up by his really hot first week or so? Same question for the underlying metrics.
I want you to be right, though! A 120 OPS+ with his defense is elite.
Also it's not a natural or inevitable result - the ultimate failure is the result of other humans messing with the people who run the park.
Frankly, it's pretty clear in the movie that, barring bad people doing stupid and greedy stuff, the park could have worked out fine!
Also, it's okay to think that falling birthrates are a problem (I do!) without following that up with "and here is why that perfectly fits into my pre-existing narrative".
Sometimes things are problems and we don't know why they happen! That's okay to admit!
