The Everglades concentration camp is violating human rights & dehumanizing people. Wasteful & abusive. Years of anti-immigrant discourse & DeSantis's opportunism led us here.
Brighten your day. Historian rediscovers a pre-Incan method of water storage, gets money to restore the existing structures, and the town he grew up in now has access to water 10 hours a day, up from 1/2 hour per day. The details are v. cool.

Migration is a human right. Immigrants are welcome here in Los Angeles, where they are over 1/3 of our population. As if the city could even run without them, but also as if we would WANT to. Cultural exchange & understanding are a gift and I am proud that they shape LAโs culture so deeply.
