I've seen the teaser floating around social media, my first thought was that parts of it look like those 'this is what the characters of this game/cartoon/comic would look like in a live-action movie' AI slop that do the rounds. The posters I've seen haven't helped.

I've never heard that before. There's the cruel irony that often those things will lead to needing to move thus doubling the stress.

To my mind anyone moving has every right to complain! In my experience it's a complete pain in the arse no matter the weather.

The last time I moved it was during the worst snow both the area I was leaving and the area I was moving to had seen in a few years. It was my own fault really, I chose to move two weeks before the original planned date, which if I'd waited for it, the snow was gone by then.

Leatherface is wearing a stained striped shirt, tie, a "blood" stained apron, and his trademark mask. The image has had a lot of processing added to it, like an offensive amount, making it look like an aged family picture damaged by years of handling and environmental impact.

Tidying up the photo folder on my phone, deleting crap I should have deleted long ago, and for some reason, instead of deleting this one (I somehow massively cocked up the focus!), I decided to go ham in Snapseed, now it kinda looks like a portrait in the Sawyer family home...

I have no idea if it'll do like many and go full "reimagined" with no resemblance to the original, which it probably should, considering what we now know about the negative impact such representation on screen can have, but why not just make a 'new movie from the writer-director of Sleepaway Camp'?

Maybe I'm getting old, maybe I've always been a d**khead with this stuff, but "reimagined" movies often trouble me. So often they just come across as cynical cash grabs using nostalgia to inflate figures, yet in reality, it's an entirely new—admittedly sometimes ok—film with the name slapped on.

I can't remember the name of it now, but a few years ago, I was well and truly humbled and reminded I'm aging rapidly by players on a free-to-play multiplayer post-apocalyptic looter shooter.

When I reviewed The Pope's Exorcist, I mused about the idea of a Father Amorth/Benoit Blanc team-up... I wasn't thinking big enough!

I must admit I know very little about him and the band, but from what you said about the con, and then reading the con site, I'm not surprised they're getting that reputation.

It could just be just me and my brain that often works in mysterious ways, but Spencer Charnas charging so much feels like double-dipping, considering he's—according to the con site—involved in the production of the con, so will presumably be getting money from all aspects of the convention.

No worries. I know how frustrating it can be to know something, but not be able to recall the name. The amount of times I've had to describe something to Google to try get the name 🤣
